The Chor Anno pianist/organist Sharon Bolsterbolster

Sharon is a graduate of Lewis and Clark College and holds a Music Education degree. She has extensive keyboard experience, studying organ while in college and for many years since.

Currently she teaches music to some 700 kindergarten, first, and second graders at McBride Elementary in St. Helens, Oregon.

Sharon’s sensitive musicianship at both piano and organ have earned her the reputation as one of the northwest’s finest. She has accompanied groups directed by Howard Meharg for over twenty-five years. “She is in an elite category as to her skills and musicianship, as far as I’m concerned,” Howard says of her.

She is organist at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Castle Rock, playing a Frans Bosman tracker pipe organ. Sharon lives on a hill in Rainier, Oregon. She is the mother of four daughters and has a grandson and two grand-daughters, the most recent born in March, 2010. “Being a grandparent is the best,” she states.
